Industry Steering Group meet for the first time

Yesterday, our Industry Steering Group Chairman Peter de Maagt of the European Space Agency welcomed fellow representatives of industry to Loughborough University for the first meeting of our Industry Steering Group. The team presented the SYMETA project and encouraged industry colleagues to consider the direction of the research and possible applications. The SYMETA project is keen to engage with industry in a variety of ways. Collaborations could include:
Providing in-support to fundamental research programmes e.g. professional expertise, access to kit and testing sites and the provision of test samples and test beds.
Knowledge sharing and the co-development of IP
Support for doctoral students
Participation in industry focused workshops
Industry-led research via Innovate UK
Knowledge Transfer Partnerships delivering return on the investment and accelerating growth for the company
Consultancy and contract research
Undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects and teaching
Student placements and secondments
Staff secondments
